How can I kill St.Augustine in Fescue/Bluegrass sod that is 6 weeks old? The old lawn was St.Augustine and I spent 2 months spraying round-up, watering and spraying again to kill it.

St augustine is susceptible to 2-4 D amine.you can spray right over the fescue without harming it but dont spray it in temps over 85 degrees it could burn the fescue. You can mix at half rates and try small areas, otherwise wait until the weather cools and then spray it. St augustine is susceptible and has intermediate tolerance to 2-4-D, Fescue is Tolerant at labeled rates. It will not hurt you fescue at labeled rates.
