Some serious St. Augestine funk going on

I live in South East Georgia and my grass looks awful. It has looked this way for awhile. Rather than descibing the grass, I have taken several phots and uploaded them to Flickr. Any tips would be relly appreciated!

Also I took those photos after a rain so the brown funk looks a little darker than normal.

guessing chinch bugs…..

Looks like about 30 lawns in my neighborhood. If it keeps growing then you definitely got bugs. If it is chinchbugs, they won’t stop.
