Small Mounds of Dirt

I have small mounds of sand in my yard that look like ant hills. They are not and hills and have a rather large hole in the top about the size of a pencil.Also the dirt is piled in tubular form like pellets. They are about 1 1/2 to 2 inches high and about 2 to 3 inches around. Keep in mind that I treated my yard 6 days ago with insect killer which worked on the pesky grubs. The next morning they were on top of the soil.
