SLOW RECOVERING BERMUDA

Overseeded Tiff 44 bermuda with rye grass last fall. Mowed very close 3 weeks ago to remove the Rye grass, but the bermuda still has not recovered. even with fertilization. However, we still have not had any extended warm periods of over 75 degrees this spring in Savannah, GA. Could it be that it is still to cool? or could have the rye grass strained the bermuda? What actions should I take?

hopefully no pre emergent weed control was applied. a good idea would be to areate the soil to loosen it up. if the roots cant breathe the fertilizer will not do any good

Bermuda is a warm season grass. It take several WARM days for the grass to take off, Especially if you took more than 1/3 of the grass than it will take awhile. Never cut more than 1/3 at a time. This part is for spraytech: What does pre-emerge have to do with it. If the grass is out of dormant it will not have any affect on the grass?
