Seeding Fescue – can it get frost burnt?

I got a late start on plantiny some fescue in my back yard…did not get it seeded until about Oct. 20th.
I have irragation, the weather was nice (40’s at night and 70’s during the day) until this week and we had some light freezing weather in the early morning hours…then warming up to 60’s.
I have green whiskers coming up everywhere and am worried that if I get any more freezes at night that it will burn the tender grass coming up everywhere.
How tolerant is Fescue to a slight feeze at night during the germination and seedling stage?

You should be fine. The turf will harden off in time. Most important is to stay off the turf in frost or when freezing.
Good Luck…………..
