I have a centipede yard. Will xenon zoysiacrowd out my cenipede if I use plugs or do I need to spray the cenipede and kill it before laying down the xenon?

He said he wants to plug, not sod.

I think you can plug, and if the zoysia doesn’t overtake the centipede grass naturally, then hit it with 2,4-D or MSMA to weaken it. I have read either of these chemicals will kill centipede grass but won’t harm zoysia.
