Red Apple Ice Plant

Does anyone have tips on how to fertilize red apple ice plant? It’s an extremely yellowish color currently, and I hardly water the ice plant. So I don’t think it’s being over watered, but I have never fertilized it.

We use to use Miracle Grow but it was too expensive and took too many treatments. We switched to an organic type of fertilizer. The one we use indicates “citric and fruit trees”. Within a week of spreading and watering it turns emerald green. We ususally try to fertilize when we know its going to rain so we do not have to water it. The rain help to push the fertilizer through the Red Apple and into the soil. Our Red Apple is pretty thick since we starting fertilizing at least twice a year or when we see the leaves turning yellow.
