Random yellow blades

anyone have any ideas what’s causing these random yellow blades in my otherwise very green lawn? I live in southeast Texas, and rainfall has been normal so far this season. I haven’t done anything other than a high-nitrogen fertilizer 6 weeks ago (like I always do in the Spring), and about an eight of an inch of water twice a week. It also seems to be in only one section of the front lawn; it’s not widespread. Thanks much!

I am not positive what is causing it. I had a similar problem a few years back. I sprayed for insects (had ants anyway) and disease.
Also, I think you need to sharpen the blade of your mower – it looks like you are tearing the tops of the blades and this may be contributing to the problem.
