questions about St. Augustine Del Mar

Doe anyone have any info on St Agustine del Mar grass, I read it is the most shade tolerant St Agustine. My backyard was leveled and all the grass Ihad (which was not much) has now been covered with sand and more sand….is it okay to lay new grass directly on sand?

absolutely. Not a problem. You could lay St. Augustine sod on top of existing grass and it would take. It is very aggressive. Sand is excellent.
