What is the physical procedure used to level a yard?

Begin the leveling process by determining how water should drain down and away from existing structures.Rough grade and level the area, and then string a plumb line across the yard as close to the soil as possible.Re-grade to level the soil parallel to the plumb line. Re-string the plum line perpendicular to the first line across the yard and repeat the process. If you have a large yard and/or need drainage in the turf area, make sure you have provided some grading to encourage water to move toward the drains.Good Luck!
