If it helps, I’m located in Florida. Also, I could use recommendations for killing the stuff (but not the St. Augustine grass).

Bermudagrass. There is no chemical that effectively removes it without injuring St. Augustinegrass, to the point that you will have more bermudagrass than you started with.

Agree with Phil. Atrazine will control the Bermuda to some extent but is not super effective.
My suggestion: Spot spray it with Roundup. Also, you can cut the bottom out of a coffee can, place over the bermuda, and spray in the can to minize overspray. Note that it will probably take 2 spraying to fully kill the Bermuda.
I almost forgot Do Not over water. Floratan /Seville all strains of St. Augustine are suseptible to fungus from over…
