Straight from Ortho Ground Clear:Where Not to Use
Do not use anywhere that you plan on planting or seeding desirable plants for at least a year.
1. It sounds like your large oak will be ok, just try not to spray a large amount on it.
2. If weeds are taller than 6 inches, cut down and remove before application. My guess would be cut the baby oaks and spray just enough to cover it. It may take small doses but multiple applications to kill the baby trees. How big is the baby oak? Can you just pull it up?
