Organic Lawn Care

I transitioned my Kentucky Bluegrass lawn to an organic program this year. The results are a terribly weedy lawn. I had a 100% lush lawn that is now being overrun with crabgrass. That’s it for me with organics as the cost of corn gluten and natural fertilizers is ridiculous.

At least you can say you tried it. I think for it to work and have acceptable results the soils, turf, climate, and disease pressure all have to align with the planets!
My friend swears by corn gluten. He has a heavily shaded lawn. I tried to explain to him that crabgrass doesn’t germinate in shade but he swears its the corn gluten.
Good luck trying to recover from your misadventure with organics. At least you are going into the right season for recovery.
Keep it green.
