No Problem; Just an Interesting Bug

The last 3 or 4 weeks have been a virtual typhoon in NW Florida. A couple of weeks ago we discovered very small (¼ inch long) shrimp on the patio. The bayou is 1o0 feet or so out back, and I assumed we brought baby shrimp in with some of the crabs we caught. I didnt think anymore about it until they came back after another series of gully washers. Come to find out these little guys are Amphipods, (whatever those are) A.K.A Lawn Shrimp. Apparently they do no harm. Not sure what their purpose in life is!
