I had hired 3 local companies in Pasco , FL and they all killed my grass or let it get overrun by weeds etc… I resoded 4 times in the last 6 years in my home. I just resodded and the grass is green. While resodding with my dads we saw a ton of Grub Worms so I sprayed Ortho bug b gon max for lawns on it per recommendation from Tommy on here. I used bot the liquid and hte granular version iwth a drop spreader.
My question is what do I need to use to keep my lawn green and keep the weeds off of it.?
Thanks In Advance

Best form of bug/weed/fungus control is preventative. I would research pre-emergent pesticides for the grubs and weeds. If you know what type of grub it was then I would research their sexual reproduction patterns that way you can time the spray to kill them when they are young. Also for weeds in Florida, you want to spray one week before you think the temperatures will be getting back steadily into the 70-80s. If you do this you should a large reduction in weeds and bug problems.

And get rid of the lawn care company. They are infamous for killing lawns. Their bottom line is making money and their technicians are typically low paid, unskilled workers. If you can find an all organic company they might be ok. Key thing to look for is them telling you not to do something. If you see that their bottom line is the care of your lawn.

I am having the same problem as you. I also live within a mile or so. I have decided to do away with the ST Aug and seed with a hybrid Bermuda. I have a test patch that I have been cultivating to see if it would grow under the sandy/salty conditions in our area.
I am also not a big fan of utilizing thousands of gallons of water to keep the gran green.
The test area of Bermuda I have is super green and I only water 15 min a week, about 1/2 an inch of water.
I am posting my adventures on the Bermuda thread under lawn replacement.
I will try to update the thread often.
