New sod

We recently received sod for our new home and it is turning brown. The sod was placed while we were at work and it happened to be a quite warm day of 93 degrees. The grass had some brown patches on this day and now most of the area is yellowish/brownish and dry.
Should we continue to water it and hope that it takes root and try to save later or is it beyond hope at this point and we need to request new sod?

I would get the supplier involved immediately before too much time goes by. It should not have been brown the day it arrived.
