Im down here in Dallas, and wanted to get some epinions on watering some new empire zoysia sod. Its hitting in the 90’s so far, what times should I be watering this? I’ve been setting it at 5:00 am and 5:00 pm for 5 minutes each zone. Is this good or not?

Pull back a corner of the sod before the 5:00 pm watering and see if the soil and sod has dried out since the morning watering. If it has dried out between waterings, you need to increase the duration of your watering cycle.
This is true for the first couple of weeks. After that, you should be able to scale back to 1 watering a day, then one every two days, and finally watering as needed, which might be a couple of times a week IF you don’t get rain between waterings.
