Need help with weed identification.

I have had this particular weed for second consecutive year now and can’t figure out what it is. Gradually spreading more and more and kills the St. Augustine it is growing under. Forms a small white flower and grows a mat under the grass.

That is what it looks like with the white flower. Any suggestions on what can be used to get rid of it in St. Augustine grass.

I’m having trouble identifying a grass like weed in my yard. I have been told it is crabgrass, but I have my doubts. It is deeply rooted and very invasive and I have a well established lawn. I understand crabgrass thrives in weak lawns and in patchy areas of lawns. The problems spots for my lawn are in the more established lusher areas of my lawn, so being my doubts as to it being crabgrass. How can I upload photos for identification?

bailey, “manor” should do the trick for you

I have never heard of Manor. I spot treated with Image a little less than two weeks ago and it is finally starting to show signs of purpling. Thought it would turn it yellow but it is turning it a deep purple color. Label did say that a second treatment may be necessary in six weeks. I will research the Manor in case this makes a comeback from the Image. Thanks.
