mixing fluazifop-p-butyl

hello all – 1st time poster here, great site though luv it,

Read an old post about removing bermuda grass in zoysia yards. I have some bermuda creeping back through my Emerald zoysia yard, mostly in smallish 2’x2′ sections.

I found Spectracide Weed & Grass Killer that has Fluazifop-p-butyl (.75%) in it as the 2nd listed ingredient – this will work right?? the first active ingredient is Diquat Dibromide 2.30%.

My question is, first will this work as I have read the Ortho Grass B gone product works just as well as Fusilade II. But will the Diquat Dibromide kill my zoysia no matter how much I dilute it down?

And secondly, how do I mix this correctly?? I need to get to .12% right?? I am using a 32oz bottle sprayer.

thanks for any help.eric

diquat is non-selective.

do not spray it on your zoysia, unless you would like to kill it.

thanks, I was wondering about that. so I guess the Ortho grass B gone product doesnt have that ingredient in it? Fluazifop is the main ingredient in it then.

will keep looking for the right product then.

you need either fluazifop or fenoxaprop.

trade names “fusilade” and “acclaim”.

repeat applications.

Don’t forget to mix some turflon ester in with the fusilade. It’ll help with the Zoysia damage I guess. Do a google search for the 2
