Meyer’s Zoysia?

Calling all Zoysia specialists!!!
I work for a builder that builds very upscale homes in Atlanta. We closed on a home last June in a country club neighborhood. After the closing, the homeowner has come back to us and claimed that his turf is not Meyer’s Zoysia as promised. In good faith, we had the landscaper and installer go back and examine the lawn. After they both claimed it is Meyer’s, we called the grower who says they only grow Meyers and went even further to have the groundskeeper from the golf club examine it. He too, thinks it is Meyers.Well, the homeowner can not be satisfied. He wants the turf to be tested and wants a legal affidavit stating that his lawn is Meyer’s. Are you aware of any such test? If so, can you point us in the right direction? If not, can you offer any alternative that might satisfy our customer. Although the lawn is not a warrantable item, we would like to keep the customer happy (within reason) and preserve our good reputation. Thanks for any help

There you may find a resource that will provide testing. I know they do soil testing for free.

Contact your county extension and ask them if they can help. Alternatively you might call Auburn University and ask them if they can help you out.
