Marathon grass dying!

I have a huge problem with my front lawn which is Marathon grass. One side of my lawn is dying and I don’t know why. I water it regularly (3 days per week) and even areas immediately adjacent to sprinkler heads are turning yellow and dying yet getting plenty of water. This is happening on the side of my lawn that gets a lot of sun in the afternoon. The other half of my lawn is very well shaded (hence the Marathon) and is not dying. Anyone know what the problem may be or is someone systimatically killing my grass?
