Losing St. Augustine lawn

Help……I have an established St. Augustine lawn, for the past few years I have had a small spot on the front edge of the lawn that dies in about August. I have treated this with fungiside, corn meal and brown canadian peat. Each spring the grass comes back and looks good, then this May it started again. I resumed the fungi treatment but this time it is spreading and looks like I will loss the whole yard. The really strange thing is, along one side of the grass is monkey grass edging. This year it is dying also, just along side the St. Augustine grass. It looks like it has been sprayed with round up. I am puzzled and hope someone can help me.

What cultivar of St. Augustine do you have?
Have you applied any herbicides recently?
