locating drought tolerant varieties

Where can I purchase FX-10 st augustinegrass or Floratex bermudagrass, two very drought resistant varieties? I thought Dr Phil Busey would possibly know, since I think he released FX-10 a few years ago. I’d like to convert to a drought tolerant lawn since lack of rain has been an issue here over the past several summers. I live in northern Louisiana

hbosely, in my opinion, FX-10 would not be safe in northern Louisiana, because of the risk of winter cold. Among the bermudagrasses, some of the seeded varieties such as Princess are finally starting to perform as well as the vegetative bermudagrasses. There is data at the National Turfgrass Evaluation Program at http://ntep.org at least through 1998. I do not know where you might find Floratex, but I think you could do better.
More on FX-10 later.
