Late Winter/ Early Spring Problems

I am new to the turfgrass area but I am very interested on making my lawn immaculate. I have St. Augustine Grass in my yard in North Texas. Weeds are starting to take over my yard while the grass is dormant (We have had a very cold winter). What products do I need to get rid of the weeds and crab grass? Or do I need to just wait until the grass starts growing?
I also need some advice on what fertilizer to put on my grass and when to do it. Also, how much water it needs to be getting now and when it is growing. Tnanks.

Atrazine will get rid of the winter weeds. (Follow Directions). However crabgrass is another problem. If it is just showing up put down a pre-emergent like Dimension from lesco. 0-0-9 has the Dimension already mixed with it.
