Kentucky Bluegrass in Florida?

I am buying some property in the Tallahassee region of Florida and am wondering if Kentucky Bluegrass can be grown there if it is watered, fertilized, mowed and cared for properly. I realize it may be very labor intensive but that part is not important to me.

I don’t think you’ll have much luck. Too hot! You might use it as a winter overseed; similar to annual rye.

No KBG in Florida. However, if you are looking for a grass that is similar in appearance, perhaps Seashore paspalum. It is a fine textured sod forming turf that has good winter color. I am commercial and could quote you if interested. Visit me at www.etsturf.com
