Is May too late to seed fescue in Atlanta

i know they say that the optimal times are EARLY spring or FALL but today is May 10. Im in Atlanta, GA (zip code =30314) and I have some HORRIBLE BALD PATCHES in my yard.. this weekend I went in my backyard poking around and found that my builder buried ALL TYPES OF CRAP in my backyard!!! car tires, 8 pair shoes, clothes, unbelievable!!!!!
now i have a 5×10 foot section where i dug this crap out of thats overturned dirt!!!
i plan to overseed the ENTIRE LAWN in the fall but I want to take care of that 5×10 section of dirt…
what would happen if I plant FESCUE SEED now? is it too late ? would it get too hot in Atlanta GA before the roots take hold. area is kind of shady unde a tree but gets some sunlight ( 4-6hours ) worth…
ive had success with Scotts Patch Master all in one – seed, fertilizer, mulch – but this was in early spring ( March ) .. I wonder how it would do now ( May ) ?
any suggestions?
