I live at 8K feet, I have good topsoil, I put down fertlizer, loads of grass seed, and water non stop. Why won’t the shit grow?

That sucks. Don’t have a lot of experience with seed grown lawns here in Central Fla. but…Did you use a “starter” fertilizer specifically for seeding situations? Did you use the right amount for the 8K sq ft? Any other ferts may be too strong and discourage germination. You only want to keep soil “moist” not wet by watering the hell out of it! It needs periods to air out as well. Not sure where you are, what type of sun/shade you dealing with, what kind of seed, etc, etc. But really, following the directions specifically, gives the best chances of success. Make sure the seed you’re using is successful for your particular climate.
