How to Kill St. Augustine in Flower Beds

Is there anything I can spary on St. Augustine that is growing in my flower beds without harming my plants and tress? I live in Tampa, FL.

roundup- just don’t spray the plants- have you heard of a weedeater? usually the st. aug. comes into the landscape areas from the lawn…

When St Augustine dries out it dies out – all the way. Stop watering the beds and the grass will die.
St Aug can also be smothered out with mulch but the mulch tends to keep it moist so if you don’t get enough mulch it can actually improve the grass.
