How much does a pallet weigh?

Hello,

I am looking to buy 4 pallets of st. augustine this weekend to redo my lawn. How much does a pallet weigh? I have a pickup with a trailer that can carry a car or bobcat, will that work?

in the neighborhood of 3000 pounds, depending on whether its a 400 sq ft pallet grown in muck or a 500 sq ft pallet grown in sand, and how wet it is when its cut.

Actually, sand grown sod is heavier and is shipped 400 square feet per pallet, and with muck it is 500 square feet. The weight sounds about right, maybe 3500 pounds, but with 20 pallets per semi-trailer that’s going to push up against Florida’s 80,000 pound truck gross weight limit. Phil
