Help Zoysia vs Bermuda
CajunMike – posted 11 May 2006 17:01
Need help in choosing a lawn for South Louisiana Home. Have narrowed it down to Empire zoysia, Palisades zoysia, or Celebration Bermuda. What would be the better lawn choice for my climate area(Lot of rain and high heat and humidity) I do have a sprinkler system too. What is the better looking/feeling grass. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Mike, I also live in southern Louisiana in Marrero and I have Empire Zoysia. I would really recommend this grass because it is plush, dark green, soft and low maintiance compare to burmuda. I only have to cut it every 2 or 3 weeks. This grass love the hot and humid climate because it came from Brazil. You are welcome to take a look at my grass in my Marrero home. I brought the grass last May 2005 for $145 a pallet from Simpson Sod in Covington. I’m willing to help you anyway I can. You can call me at 504-905-2258. PS. I don’t work for any Sod Company, just a Cajun that appreciated a beautiful lawn. I know Katrina destroy alot of turf grass in our area and any helping hand is always thankful.
