Help me with killer weeds this winter!

Live in College Station, TX area. Terrible drought this summer stressed and browned a lot of my zoysia. This winter has been warm and the Canadian Thistle is loving it. Last year I hit them all with Roundup (grass was dormant), but ended up with brown polka-dots all over my yard until late summer.
Any ideas on how to handle these weeds without harming the grass (too much)? Some of the grass is still slightly green and growing now that we are getting rain.

I don’t know how many or how big they are. But weeds in my yosia I spray them with vineagar. In the summer it’ll make a small yellow spot but they go away. I used white vineagar in a hand spray bottle.
