Grass in shade

What is the best type of grass for shade in the Hollywood/Ft. Lauderdale area, and where do I purchase it?

most shade tolerant turf grasses are in order – broadleaved carpet grass 1st by miles, then most soft leaved St Augustine lines and various Zoysia cultivars [about equal]. Go no further than those.

Best Zoysia from seed is Compadre, and where you are probably Empire zoysia as sod, however, Empire is slow to establish from plugs [ one of the slowest].

look into ultimate flora zoysia. I just put some down. It’s a bit better than empire zoysia
