upstate of SC here- 60’s right now. (late feb). summer will bring 90’s. full sun. Have a 60/40 Bermuda Fescue mix now and the bermuda IS NOT taking over the fescue. I have overseeded bermuda for the past 2 years- and I mean did it right—-aerated, sand, water, etc and it looks good- but not great. Is there any other kind of grass that I can plant between now and summer that will mix well with these 2. thanks

Mow short. Do not allow the grass to grow over 1″. Bermuda will then begin to grow horizontally and tighten up resulting in the crowding out you are looking for. What happens if you mow higher than 1″ the fescue is shading out the bermuda. It does not look like it could be shading it out but when bermuda is cut tow high it gets leggy, crappy, and easily shaded out.
