Fescue in my Tif 419

hey gang!
I have a very good stand of Tif-419 Bermuda sod with only one problem … I have some clumps of fescue.
I have treated the fescue with MSMA (4 oz./gallon) with little or no luck. The patches will brown, and then within a couple of weeks they will be back strong as before.
I do not want to wait until this winter to get rid of it with Round Up when the bermuda is dormant … what are my options?
Many Thanks!

Try setting your mower lower. 419 likes an inch or less, fescue does not tolerate much lower than 2, and generally likes 2.5 to 3. At a lower setting the fescue should just go away.

lesco has a tall fescue control product- can’t believe the fescue isn’t under severe stress in any market where you have bermuda.
