What kind of fertilizer do you use with Zoysia?

Use a slow release product with adequate potash. Many slow release product do not have adequate potash……I prefer a blend around 20N : 2-3P : 20K plus iron [ for good colour]. For most turf, keep the P levels low.
For zoysia – use less than half recommended rates, say 15 – 25 units of nitrogen at most, every 12 – 15 weeks.

Old lawns rarely need phosphorus. A slow release fertilizer is better. Get one with micro nutrients if you can.
For best results take a soil sample to the local county extension office and they can tell you exactly what you need.
