Dead Lawn – Help
Marla – posted 06 August 2005 11:21
Last year the lawn was green and flush. Now it has died. It is completely yellow/brown. I know it is a combination of too much thatch in the spring, cinch bugs, extreme dry weather with 2 weeks of no watering and sandy soil.
I would like to burn it off and re-seed. Is this my only option? Not sure what the grass is. I lived in central Ontario.
Thanks

You can start watering the area and see what happens! Some grasses are extremely drought tolerant….. may even look completely dead, but return when water is applied!
