Dark Green Bermuda in GA

I want my yard to have a dark green color. I had a soil analysis done early this year by the county extension agency. I apply about 35# of 16-4-8 to my yard, which is about 7500 square feet every 30 days. I also limed the yard early this year with about 120# of lime. Could I use a slow release nitrogen to make the yard turn a dark green color? If so, what is a good brand, where could I find it, and will this make the yard grow even more (in addition to the fertilizer)? I live in Paulding County. I want to avoid something like 34-0-0 if possible. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

The best way to get that dark green look is to apply liquid Iron. It lasts a few weeks and is quite cheap. It seems like your fert program is giving the turf what it needs. The varieations within the turfgrass species are noticeable when you are talking color and the NTEP rates grasses on color. I am going to overseed in the fall and will check the website for the darkest green(genetically) Kentucky Bluegrass and Perennial Ryegrass I can find.
