corn meal / fungus control

i had applied scott’s lawn fungus control about 2 month’s ago to my currently infected dead st. augustine grass. i’m going to till-up and re-sod in the spring [bahai or centipede]. what procedure should i use with the corn meal to ensure that the fungus is irradicated before i lay sod? i live in jacksonville, fla. thanks much!

you’re working way too hard. if you want to change grasses, it’s your choice, but i would think st. aug. would be a good choice where you are. as far as the corn meal and the scotts products go, neither one would have prevented or will cure your fungus problems. just go ahead and resod next spring and follow normal maintenance practices to reduce the fungus activity. also pros can use a product like prostar ( if it’s brown patch) to contain the fungus as a preventative measure, not a curative one. lay beack on the water next summer, hold off the fert. as you’re heading into fungus season, and you should be in good shape.
