Companion Zoysia – LARGE PATCH

wondering anyone can help with my problem. I laid sod last year in may and everything looked great until this spring. My yard started greening up except certain patches and they looked as if they are still dormant. I figured I would give it more time but the green is lush and the patches are still Brown. There is no orange ring around the patches but I contacted the place were I bought the SOD and they said it was Large patch and the only thing to do was to cut it out and lay some more sod. I got zoysia because it was suppose to be resistant to disease. Anyone know of anything to help

Its resistant to disease but not immune! Zoysia can also have insect problems at times,(mole cricket, grubs, sod webworms). Use insecticide every spring-even if you don’t see signs of insects. If your patch is a disease, make sure your not over watering, make sure your using a fertilizer with enough potassium (such as a general purpose food 15-15-15) and apply a lawn fungicide if the problem persists.
