Centipede or Fescue in NC

I have a two year old lawn (2 acres) of tall fescue (Kentucky 31) in Nashville, NC that I absolutely hate. I am trying to decide whether or not to overseed this fall with turf type tall fescue, such as Rebels Exceda or the Confederate blend from Turf-Seed…. or, if I should convert to a summer type grass such as centipede next spring. Please help me decide! Thanks.

You’re right about k-31, it’s very ugly. I had it as my lawn last year, and I hated it too.I ended up spraying it with Round Up, but unfortunately 10% of it survived the attack.
I seeded with Turf-type Tall Fescue (Palmer’s Pride Rebels) and looked great until the nasty heat of summer.
I made the switch to Emerald Zoysia for the front yard, and decided to use Kentucky Bluegrass (Galaxy) from TurfSeed in Oregon.
I’ll be overseeding the dead Fescue with Perennial Ryegrass (Charcher II from TurfSeed
Where exactly are you in NC?
