bermuda getting less sun as trees mature

My lawn (coastal North Carolina) has been healthy bermuda for several years, however as landscaping (trees) are maturing, some parts are only getting 3-5 hour full sun. Bermuda is getting thinner. Can a different variety of bermuda be used for re-seeding that will do well in less sun? Will it grow well with the existing common bermuda? Please advise….
