Atlanta, GA – Zeon Zoysia vs TifGrand Bermuda

I’m in the process of picking a new grass for my lawn, in Atlanta. I’ve got fescue which dies every and summer and have a large tree that shades different parts of my lawn at different times during the day. I was originally set on putting down TifGrand but after talking to a couple of the sod growers in the Atlanta area, I’m starting to lean towards Zeon Zoysia. However, I’m still on the fence on which grass to go with.
Did anyone here in the Atlanta metro area have to make a decision on Zeon Zoysia vs TifGrand Bermuda? Which one did you go with and what was the deciding factor?

Do you have any watering restrictions? I know the Atlanta metro area has watering restrictions along with different restrictions in certain neighborhoods. Zoysia grasses are usually more drought tolerant whereas Bermuda grasses need mostly full sun.Hope this helps. Check out this Southern Turfgrass Selection Chart for more help on your decision.
