Dry Spots in yard

The sun moves directly over my brand new home and in my front yard when the sun is shining bright, by mid afternoon. I get two huge dryspots as if the soil is compacted or something. The home and yard is only 6 months old, we moved in in October. I just fertilized with preemergent as well. I noticed this issue when I first moved in. Is it natural to have dryspots. I have a very big yard. The house sits on almost 1 acre. I checked for chinch bug s but I know that this isnt it because we have had very, very cold weather in central florida and the dry spots only pop up in the mid sunny hot afternoon. A simple watering or evening pops the grass back up. I am concerned that in 90+ degree weather, the dryspots will get worse and I cant water every day.

Any advice?

You may have to aerify to increase water penetration. Most rental yards carry aerifiers, or you can hire someone to do it for you. Many lawn maint. companies peform this service.
