What to plant…?

I live near Ft Myers, FL and wish to replace the Argentine Bahia lawn of our new home… due to budget restrictions I was looking at plugs as the best possible option. I’ve recieved conflicting arguments from people regarding the pros/cons of Floratam (which I am familiar with) vs Zoysia (which until recently I’d never heard of).

My question is, which will work better in my area, and what problems can I expect from each…?
