River Sand & Bermuda Grass

I have a house that I purchased 2 years ago that has a bermuda front yard. The lawn care people said I should put down river sand to make it spread. How much sand is required? The yard is irregular shaped as follows: 40′ x 25′ x 15′ x 40′. I’m not sure how to calculate the square footage. Any help will be much appreciated

It looks like you have roughly 800 square feet. I am trying to fill in bald spots in my bermuda too. I buy the 50 pound bags of play sand and put roughly 1/4 to 1″ of sand depending on depth of bare spot. The purpose of the sand is to just have something hotter on the surface. Bermuda loves the heat, and if you’ve everr walked on the beach this time of year about 1:00 then you know the sand gets hot. You probably notice as have I that the bermuda loves your concrete driveway more than the dirt. Hope it helps.
