When to apply Ironite on Bermuda?

A buddy of mine told me to apply Ironite on my bermuda grass (Oklahoma) at the beginning of March? Is this true and recommended? Can this also be applied at the same time as pre-emergent weed killer?

There no since of putting it down while your grass is in dormant. Wait untill it’s completely out of dormant. Iron or Ironite is mainly for color
