Is 2-4D safe to use on weeds in Floratam?

MBF, I was told not to use any 2,4-D products on Floratam since it will kill it. This was from a rep. @ a well known turf grass chemical supply house. Read the lables of these products, because they say “Can be used on St. Aug lawns” on the front lable. But in small print on the back “Do not use on Floratam St. Aug.” in small print. Hope this helps.

I did try some (as directly as I could) on some weeds, I’ll have to wait to see how much damage I did!
