Zoysia in Charlotte

What is the best zoysia to grow in the Charlotte region? Which is the best way to apply, sod/plug/seed?
I have an existing fescue lawn full of weeds. Not very deep pockets unfortunately, so take price into consideration. Thanks in advance!

Zoysia seed is available at- outsidepride.com The types they sell are ok for your area. Its by far the least expensive way to go! Zoysia sod is very expensive, and plugs take forever to fill in. Before you seed, spray ‘Round up’ on the entire area to kill everything off. Wait a week and then mow low and remove clippings. Seed and lightly top dress (1/8 inch layer of peat, forest mulch or similar bagged organic top dressing). If your going to seed you gotta hurry……its getting kind of late to seed Zoysia!
