Which variety of St Augustine would you recommend? I have a pretty shady lawn. I have been reading about Delmar, Palmetto, and Raleigh varities. I like the finer texture and deep color. I will be using plugs, so I do want something aggresive to fill in quicker. I am located in south central Texas. Thanks

Palmetto is more freeze resistant. However Raleigh is a good grass if your area does not get severe cold in winter.
