No Grass?!?

Ok, I live in Southeast Texas and I can’t get grass to grow in some parts of my front yard AT ALL! I have tried fertilizing and all I get is birds in my yard eating the seeds. Any advice on the best type of grass to plant…Any help would be appreciated..
Thanks

It sounds like you are not covering the seeds with top dressing! Spread a light(1/8 to 1/4 depending on seed size), layer of mulch to protect seed from drying out and being eaten by birds.

Just out of curiosity, what type of seed are you using?

Test the soil. It could be a pH problem.
